хм, какую полезную вещь несет ? не совсем понимаю .... |

Например вывод в корзине суммы скидки не в процентах, а конкретной валюте, если пользователь авторизован и добавлен в группу имеющую скидку. $cart->coupon_discount, похоже на это (используется для суммы скидки по промокоду) |

А вычислять сумму скидки в tpl некорректно потому что туда приходит уже финальная сумма с учетом всех скидок |
