The NVIDIA documentation for GPU enablement with Red Hat Device Edge is more than a year old and needs a refresh.

This update modernizes the guide to reflect current best practices and supported deployment methods:

  • Added architecture overview with component stack diagram
  • Improved version compatibility guidance and supportability information
  • Updated to MicroShift 4.20+ and NVIDIA driver R580 (Production Branch)
  • Updated CRI-O configuration based on latest MicroShift documentation

Hi NVIDIA team @tariq1890 @cdesiniotis @a-mccarthy,

A quick heads-up regarding Red Hat signed GPU drivers which came up in partner discussions this week.

While these drivers are now GA as of RHEL 10.1 (see package details), the corresponding support for Red Hat Build of MicroShift on RHEL 10 is still evolving. Specifically, MicroShift 4.21 is the first release to support RHEL 10, but currently as a Technology Preview (TP).

Since the primary goal of this current PR is to clarify Production Support (which currently centers on RHEL 9.x and the NVIDIA-distributed drivers), I propose we move forward with the current changes as-is. I will then submit a follow-up PR to document the signed driver workflow once MicroShift on RHEL 10 reaches General Availability.

Does this approach align with your documentation roadmap?
