Default to Coverage profile?

I've just discovered that there are fairly recent devices in the wild that don't support 802.11ac (!).

• GSM Arena has no details regarding WLAN except that it has WiFi.
• DeviceSpecifications says b, g, n.

The fact that it's in a relatively cheap (~$100 when introduced) device probably means that any device based on the same SoC (Unisoc SC9863A) would not support Performance profile.

Given this new information, should we default WiFi to Coverage instead of Performance?

Confirming if we have users (and how many) impacted and complaining of that seems essential to me.

Well seeing where we deploy and how folks like Orange optimize their budget with cheaper devices I would definitely not take chances and default to Coverage
