How to draw Earth's Axis in Plot.geo for an orthographic projection

I am trying to draw Earth's axis for a full world orthographic projection in Plot.geo but I have no idea how.

I tried to look around and found something in D3 here but I do not know whether it can be somewhat used in Plot.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Maybe Plot.vector? Then calculation the relevant rotation and length...

You mean that projection should be brought out?
I did that defining it in its own cell:

projection = d3
  .geoOrthographic()
  .rotate(rotation)
  .translate([width / 2, height / 2])
  .scale(72)
  .precision(0.1)

and used it thus:

Plot.plot({
  width: width,
  height: height,
  insetTop: 20,
  insetBottom: 20,
  // projection: { type: "orthographic", rotate: [80, -40, -20] },
  projection: projection,
  marks: [
    ...
