mintUpdate frequently requests changing to mirrors.

Describe the bug
About 20% of the time update manger 7.1.4 Mint 22.3 displays a red banner telling the user to switch to a mirror.

Expected behavior
Don't want the warning unless it's needed.

Linux Mint 22.3
Software version:

Additional context
If I ignore the warning and let it open the sources and immediately cancel without any changes and then doing a refresh, mintupdate just keeps on going as usual.
If I ignore the warning, I can still install update and do a refresh.
A refresh works but does not remove the banner.

Seems like there was a conflict between google-chrome-stable and microsoft-edge-stable making edits to one of the /etc/apt/sources.list.d files.
I uninstalled ms edge and did apt update and then re-installed edge from .deb.
After 2 days I'm saying it's fixed.
