I've installed this extension and while running xdebug and stepping through the code, I don't see the inline variables.

Quick check: please confirm your VS Code setting "debug.inlineValues".

If it’s currently off, please change it to "auto" or "on" and reload VS Code.

How to verify:

Open Settings (Ctrl+, / Cmd+,)

Search for debug.inlineValues

If this doesn’t resolve it, could you share which Xdebug version you’re using so I can try to reproduce the issue?

PHP Version 8.3.24
Xdebug v3.4.5

For both my user profile and the profile of the remote server, debug.inlineValues is set to "on". I still don't see them showing up in vsCode.

I made the window smaller to fit everything, but even when at its normal size, there are still no inline variables:

I tested locally with the same setup (PHP 8.3.24 + Xdebug v3.4.5) but I couldn’t reproduce the issue — inline values are showing up fine on my side:

To help figure out what’s causing the issue faster, could you share the list of extensions you have installed in VS Code? Sometimes another PHP extension can mess with how inline values are displayed.

You can get the list by running this in your terminal:

code --list-extensions

This will help me check if there’s any conflict stopping the inline variables from showing up in your setup.
