Potential port to the Qt toolkit (not asking anybody to do it, I'm already poking at it)

I just wanted to gauge interest if a port to the Qt toolkit would be welcome, in the project.

I have been poking at it a bit, and just wanted to ask, before just dumping a gigantic PR on the project

@sfalken Thank you for showing interest in the project and sharing your work. My idea was to rewrite wcm in python, with the goal in mind of being able to 1) configure anything and everything without having to manually edit the configuration file by hand 2) only change the relevant lines in the config file to facilitate an option change, in the usual case, a single line at a time. (This contrasts with the current method of using wf-config to write options, which overwrites the entire file on each option change, stripping any comments.) and 3) supporting the compound option type first and foremost, making it easier to write plugins with compound options so there would be less (or no) custom code in wcm to support features of this option type.

That said, I have nothing against Qt. We could start with pyqt or even maintain pygtk and pyqt front ends, which share common backend code. All that we're really doing here is reading and writing a wayfire config file, something that shouldn't be too difficult. All the fancy stuff happens in the front end anyway.

Therefore, while I will not consider your wcm-qml project to be part of upstream, if you would like to work on a python version of wcm, it would then be acceptable for eventual wcm upstream. I had a goal of doing a python rewrite anyway, but it would be nice if someone else could take the lead and I could help out and contribute. Thank you for communicating first instead of making a pull request, and let me know your thoughts on writing a python version of wcm. Barring that, any ideas or suggestions in this direction are welcome.
