It'd be awesome if this Add-in was available from the PowerPoint Add-in Marketplace, ready to be installed and used without any prior developer setup on new machines. The Typst compiler could come bundled (in WebAssembly form) in the Add-in and should be frequently/automatically updated and new versions shipped. See also tinymist for inspirations on how that could be possible (e.g. the VSCode extension subproject in the tinymist repo).
Unfortunately, it seems like one has to host a website that PowerPoint connects to for the Add-in to work. Here in the Microsoft Forum, I've just asked if it wasn't possible to package a web app that doesn't require a backend into a PowerPoint Add-in. This would be great to avoid hosting.
