Decision on date / year display: Reporting start / end date and / or reporting year

For RP a should be made on how to display the reporting period. Various options are available depending on user needs:

• Reporting year: Based on the reporting period we could present reporting year (format: YYYY) in the table. This might appear more intuitive and would fill up less space.

• Reporting start or end date only: Assuming that all reports will cover one year period it might make sense to consider having just the start or end date projected.

Example: Propublica's Itemizer which stores federal election disclosures produce the end date: https://projects.propublica.org/itemizer/

• Reporting start and end date: This would be the most elaborate but would also fill up relatively more space on the page.

For what it is worth UK Companies House API seems to have a preference of report end date (over start date):
