My Pro2 controller cannot work with the procon2tool

Hi Sir,
Thank you first for your great job.
I plug the pro2 controller usb into PC , open the page with this(https://handheldlegend.github.io/procon2tool/).
click the the button "Enable Hid Out" and get an error .
Could you please give me some advice? Thanks again! @mitchellcairns

I don't have a Procon2 to replicate the issue, but that function 'claimInterface' looks like it's called from this, under const connectUsb:

log('USB interface claimed'); // this is what should happen, but doesn't

The error suggests that it's claimed under a different driver when it needs to be claimed under 'WinUSB'. If this issue comes up again, can you try in your browser address bar: chrome://device-log, and see if anything about the connected device is mentioned?

Otherwise, try a different machine, maybe different OS?

Hello, I am having this exact same issue. Here is what the device log says, when I get this same error the OP gave above:
"USBError[02:42:51] Failed to open \?\usb#vid_057e&pid_2073&mi_01#b&374414b3&0&0001#{dee824ef-729b-4a0e-9c14-b7117d33a817}: Access is denied. (0x5)"

Could it be that the controllers have been updated by Nintendo and no longer work using this method?

EDIT: For further context. These are the logs that happen when I plug the controller into my PC:

@MercenaryGreil That is not the same error as OP. OP's fails after opening the device, but yours cannot open due to "Access is denied", which implies a permission issue. Grant read-write permission to the connected device from your OS Settings, or manually uninstall the device driver and replug it back in.

In my case i got this exact same error, it was caused by Steam taking the device, closed Steam and now it works.
