Use url instead of base64 for images

I m pluzzled.
I use grapesjs with plugin preset newslettter.
I have created a cusomt plugin for assetManager (to be able to get images from a private endpoint).
Everything works except in one case:

• i create a template and add an image (ok, url is correct in src of img tag)
• i save the content in db
• i reload the page, get the html from my db and set the content of the editor with "editor.setComponents(MY_HTML)"

Then images are encoded as base64 but I want to keep the url in src instead.

I tried settting "embedAsBase64" to false but it does not change anything.

How can I do ?

my bad. base64 encoding occurs only if src url is 404
