force record create FileData:base64_text throws argument list too long error

I am trying to create an InsightsExternalDataPart record with a base64 encoded string of the data file (<10mb). I got "argument list too long error".
Is this a limitation of Go or implementation of force CLI?

A native support for file upload or an easier external data upload for Wave Analytics external data api would be a great feature.

The InsightsExternalDataPart object is part of Wave Analytics External Data API. I was treating the record insert as a standard object record insert. Perhaps this requires a different mechanism?
